MORATORIUM UNDERWRITING

With moratorium underwriting, after two years of continuous cover, some pre-existing medical conditions will become eligible for benefit, subject to the terms and conditions of your plan, and provided you have not consulted any doctor or medical practitioner for medical treatment or advice (including check-ups), or taken medication, (including drugs, medicines, special diets or injections), or suffered symptoms for that medical condition, or for any related condition, for a continuous period of two years.

You must apply for Full Medical Underwriting if you are over 55.

If you’re working on a budget, but still want to ensure you have cover for all the important things, our surprisingly comprehensive Global Health Essential Care and Essential Care Plus plans take care of all the essential health care costs.

With Global Health Essential you’re covered for hospitalisation, out-patient treatment and emergency medical evacuation. Your premiums are kept to a minimum by excluding cover for the ‘extras’ such as alternative medicine, psychiatric care and maternity care.

Our top of the range Platinum plan provides the widest cover possible with high-value benefit for maternity care, routine and complex dental treatment, regular preventive health screening, and the treatment of chronic conditions.
